Discover Cuyabeno

Exclusive Expeditions into the Heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon
Crafted for Those Who Seek More
All our journeys follow carefully crafted routes and are experienced fully private, whether you travel alone, as a couple, a family, or a small private group.
Some journeys are lodge-based, beginning at our small, family-run lodge hidden deep within the Cuyabeno Reserve. Others lead further into remote camping and paddling expeditions, reaching untouched rainforest landscapes and, depending on the journey, all the way to the Peruvian border.
Most routes follow the natural flow of the rivers and pass through remote, silent regions. Along the way, some itineraries include overnight stays in others, carefully selected lodges, allowing the journey to continue deeper into the rainforest and reflecting the vast, living nature of the Amazon.
Each journey offers close contact with the jungle: silent waterways, hidden lagoons, wildlife encounters and nights spent in deep stillness, in the lodge or under open skies.
Unhurried. Personal. Profound.
Not about comfort or spectacle, but about presence, privacy and a genuine connection to the Amazon.

Private by Design
Every journey is exclusively yours. We work only with private guests and small private groups to ensure privacy, flexibility and depth.
Bespoke, not predefined
There are no standard itineraries if you don't wish. Each expedition is crafted around your interests, pace, and curiosity, shaped day by day by the rhythm of the jungle.
Rare Access
From hidden lagoons and quiet river corridors to remote rainforest near the Peruvian border, our routes reach places rarely visited and never rushed.
Deep local Knowledge
Our work is guided by long-standing experience in the region, trusted local relationships, and profound respect for the rainforest.
Why travel with us:
“Private transportation: service from Quito to Lago Agrio.”
We offer different private transport options between Quito and Lago Agrio, tailored to your journey
My deepest passion has always been the Ecuadorian jungle.
Guided by this love, I left Switzerland to create rare and unforgettable journeys into parts of the rainforest few travelers ever reach.
Each journey is designed with great care and personal attention, so my guests can experience the jungle in a way that is just as moving and meaningful as it has been for me.
Creating lasting memories and ensuring genuine satisfaction is at the heart of everything I do.

In November 2025, we spent 9 nights at the Aguas Negras River Lodge. A truly amazing adventure! Deep in the rainforest, in a heavenly spot on the Cuyabeno River. And with every comfort you could wish for. An excellent guide (Diego) and a super friendly and hospitable host (Sandra). And not to forget the Kichwa family who looked after us and prepared delicious food for us. As nature lovers, we never had a dull moment...
This lodge is the closed experience of staying in traditional ancestoral houses without having to sacrifice on modern conveniance like private bathroom, comfy bed... It is far away from other lodges on a seperate river in one of the most versatile and intact Amazon Rainforests.

A lovely lodge nestled in the heart of Cuyabueno, to welcome us wonderful people, always kind and attentive and a truly super guide! This is not the usual tourist place, they give you an authentic experience, where respect and love for nature come first. The food that is served is typical and very good, the lodge is simple but very neat and beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean. We go home with a full heart and we will definitely come back because it was great and Aguas Negras deserves so much. We only had a few days and they arranged a personalized experience...
We had no idea what to expect and every experience was better than we could have imagined. My husband and I didn't stay in the lodge, we did the 6 day 5 night Pink Dolphin Trail (Now called: Green Silence Camping Safari) canoe trip. We saw the pink dolphins and swam with them. We saw river otters, caimen, and turtles. We saw more parrots and toucans and other birds than we could count, all expertly spotted by our indigenous guide Freddy, and our canoe captain.
Recommended..!! What an incredible place on the riverbank, so remoted, so quiet (except of the jungle sounds at day- and nighttime). Comfortable, excellent food and staff!. My best jungle travel experiences. Never, never seen so much wildlife in the jungle (a lot of species of monkeys, ara’s, parrots, and toucans, pink dolphins, giant otters, tree-anteater, anaconda, armadillo, frogs and butterfly’s...
This was a truly amazing experience! As nature lovers, visiting the Amazon was a major part of our trip to Ecuador. The Aguas Negras Lodge and, in particular, our guide, exceeded anything we could have expected! Our guide took us on jungle walks and canoe trips, with the latter allowing us to get to remote areas and observe wildlife quietly. We saw river dolphins, toucans, parrots, deer, lizards, frogs, leaf cutter ants, piranha, and many other unique species.
Small, nice, deep in the Amazon region. Our guide, was simply great, impressive and very helpful. The food is fresh, healthy and excellent. A unique experience, far away from everyday life!
Even the almost four-hour drive by motor canoe is an experience, lets you drive down and tune into the jungle. The lodge is functional, clean and tastefully decorated. And the “digital detoxing” is just good. There are exciting excursions on land and especially on the river. It is a privilege to experience the green lungs of the world in this way!

We loved the lodge. We've been to Cuyabeno before but this lodge is the best. Super quiet and away from everything, not like the typical Cuyabeno lodges. It is super recommended for families with children. Super friendly staff and my kids loved them. I love that you are directly on the river with a spectacular view. Many times only sitting in the deck can you observe the flora and fauna that makes this region of Ecuador unique.
Highly recommended for everything. Good facilities, excellent and varied food. Everything very clean and organized. Perfect personal attention. The spectacular location. Far from main roads we were practically alone. The activities give a very complete vision of the jungle. Everything is done in collaboration with the indigenous community and in our case, since we speak Spanish, they were our main guides. Excellent people, both the indigenous people and Fabián. The overall experience was very rewarding for me.
